Pilier de Pierre Light, Quebec ~ 2004
On a small island off the shouth shore of the Lower St. Lawrence River, near Quebec, we spotted this light from Hwy 132 west of St. Jean-Port-Jolie, as it emerged from the mid morning July fog. This is take from a rest stop along the highway.
Pilier de Pierre, or The Stone Piller Light, was built in 1843 to aid navigation on the river.
