I knew they were back when one of the pair swooped down across the back of my dog while we were working in the back yard.
Last year, swooping was an indication that there were chicks in the nest.
This year's nest is just as large, but has been moved to an adjacent tree. The view into the nest is not as good as last year's, as it is partially obscured by thick oak branches and copious colonies of spanish moss. The nest is about 10' higher, as well.
