Crossover Island Lighthouse ~ off Chippewa Bay, NY ~ 2000

Crossover light was a long ride by boat, downriver from Alexandria Bay, where I was staying. Thanks to the skipper of our boat, Lee Okoniewski, even though a heavy fog had shrouded the river all morning, we got close enough before it rained to take this shot. Constructed in 1848 and rebuilt in 1882, the light is no longer in service and is privately owned.
