A very popular and well photographed waterfall, with a series of large, smooth granite rocks along its edges just right for sitting and enjoying, Buttermilk Falls is easily accessible from a roadside parking area. While there are several falls with this name in New York, this one is on the Raquette River just south of Long Lake.
